how to start
your luminous Skin
journey
To get the best from your formula, follow the recommendations below: use a small amount, introduce it gradually and give your skin time to adjust.
2–3 Drops
2–3 times a week
Press & wait
Redness after starting a new product?
If redness appears, pause and let your skin fully settle. If restarting is appropriate, use the smallest recommended amount less often, alongside gentle basics. If redness returns, persists or comes with burning, itching or swelling, stop using the product and seek medical advice.
Can I keep using my other skincare products?
Keep the gentle products your skin already enjoys. Introduce one new formula at a time before adding other active treatments. Compatibility depends on the ingredients and complete formulas, not the brand. Keep your routine simple at first and allow time to see how your skin responds.
In what order should I apply my skincare?
Cleanse, apply your chosen serum, then finish with moisturiser as needed. Allow each layer to settle before applying the next. Sunscreen is the final step in your morning skincare routine, before makeup. Follow each product’s directions for the right amount, application method and frequency.
What if my skincare rolls or pills?
A lighter touch often helps. Use a smaller amount, apply gently and let each layer settle before adding the next. Avoid repeated rubbing or too many layers at once. If pilling continues, simplify your routine and reintroduce products individually to find a combination that works for you.
why 2-3
Drops are
enough
Highly concentrated actives, fewer unnecessary ingredients, more performance in every drop.

WHAT WE
CONSCIOUSLY
LEAVE OUT.
As the graphic shows, we avoid unnecessary fillers and reduce reliance on conventional emulsifiers and texture-building systems.

NO UNNECESSARY FILLERS
More room for what actually matters.
Fillers can add volume, texture or a certain sensory feel without being the ingredients your skin is ultimately there for. CHRIS le FAY keeps the formula focused, giving priority to concentrated actives, valuable lipids and carefully selected botanical ingredients.
The idea is simple: every ingredient should earn its place.
NO SILICONES
A beautiful skin feel, created through skincare itself.
Silicones are often used to create immediate slip, softness and a perfectly smooth finish. CHRIS le FAY chooses a different route, using selected botanical oils, Squalane and skin-compatible lipids to create softness and suppleness while simultaneously contributing to the care of the skin.
The texture does not simply feel good. The ingredients behind it have a purpose.
NO MICROPLASTICS
What stays on your skin should be chosen with intention.
Microplastics can be used in cosmetics for texture, film formation or sensory properties. CHRIS le FAY leaves them out and focuses instead on carefully selected ingredients that fit a cleaner, more considered formulation philosophy.
Less unnecessary material. More attention to what the formula is actually meant to do.
NO PARABENS
Preservation should protect the formula, not define it.
CHRIS le FAY works with fresh, carefully produced formulations and modern packaging concepts that allow preservation to remain targeted and appropriate to each individual product. Rather than building the formula around maximum shelf life, the focus remains on freshness, active ingredients and skin performance.
Preserved where necessary. Never preserved simply for convenience.
CA&LE specifically describes its approach as small-batch production, reduced preservation and Airless systems instead of over-preservation.
no or minimal emulsifiers
Because the way a formula is held together can matter to the skin too.
Conventional emulsifiers are used to permanently bind water and oil into a stable cream. Certain emulsifier systems can also interact with the natural lipid structure of the outer skin barrier and, depending on the type and concentration, may contribute to increased moisture loss or barrier disturbance.
Where the formula allows, CHRIS le FAY takes a different approach. Skin-compatible lipids and intelligent phase systems reduce the reliance on conventional emulsifiers. In selected two-phase formulas, oil and water deliberately remain separate until the product is shaken before use.
The result is a more skin-focused formula architecture, built around actives and lipids rather than texture alone.
what is the
WASH-OUT-
EFFECT?
Conventional emulsifiers are designed to keep water and oil permanently combined. Certain emulsifier systems can also interact with the natural lipids of the skin barrier.
When the skin repeatedly comes into contact with water, these interactions may contribute to the removal of valuable barrier lipids. Over time, this can increase moisture loss and leave the skin feeling dry, tight or more sensitive. This phenomenon is often referred to as the wash-out effect.
The Chris le Fay Approach
CHRIS le FAY reduces the reliance on conventional emulsifier systems wherever the formula allows. Selected lipids and intelligent phase systems create sophisticated textures while keeping the formulation focused on active ingredients and skin compatibility.
In selected two-phase formulas, oil and water deliberately remain separate and are only combined by shaking immediately before application
Less interference with the skin barrier. More focus on what the skin actually needs.
